Two Ugandan men identified as Guster Kyakulaga and Hakimu Sangala, resorted to exchanging blows in Lugazi, Uganda, following the discovery that they had been married to the same woman for five years.

According to reports, the woman identified as 34-year-old Brenda Nali successfully deceived the two men by using two different names, and also avoided meeting their parents.

Nali was known to husband number one Guster Kyakulaga a carpenter, as Rose Tuhimbisibwe, while husband number two Hakimu Sangala, a prominent businessman knew her as Brenda.

The men however agreed that they noticed she blocked every effort they made to introduce her to their parents. Nali was exposed when she had lied to Kyakulaga about going to visit her sick mother in the village, he had called her repeatedly the next day and when she didn’t answer, her second husband Sangala called back on noticing the missed calls, only to hear the question “what do you want from my wife?”

This led to the men agreeing to meet and confronting each other on a later date, which led to an exchange of blows.

Hmmm…We sha want to know who won the fight.

Ex Nigerian leader, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has been referred to as the most corrupt Nigerian.

This assertion was created by Ghali Na'Abba, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives who explained during an interview on Saturday, 6 august, that the previous president does not have the integrity to call participants of the Country wide Assemblage as corrupt people.

The ex-speaker said the Ogun high chief had little or nothing before leader but involved in doubtful and undefendable expenses during his two-term reign.

Management quoted him to acquire said: "Well, I don't believe you can find anybody more corrupt in this country like the ex - President. You are assumed by me are discussing the previous Leader Olusegun Obasanjo.

"As the Presenter, I had taken Obasanjo on several issues of costs offences which he devoted and may not show remorse. So, I don't believe he gets the integrity to call anybody in the NASS corrupt. Today he's one of the richest Nigerians this is actually the man who became Chief executive with little or nothing and, let him describe to Nigerians how he bought the money.

"On his organized elongation, am aware that some ?monies was presented with to the countrywide assemblage customers both House of Reps and the Senate. It had been alleged that the Senators got 50 million each while 40 million was presented with to the home of representative members, some collected plus some didn't collect. But I know that money was written by Obasanjo."

corruption

Na'Abba spoke on the budget cushioning scandal also, declaring "I expect that for 16 many years of go back to democracy, Nigerians could have understood the tasks of the Country wide Assembly.

"For a few weeks now, there's been controversy over what's called padding. As much as i am concerned, the duty is acquired by the Country wide Set up to complete the budget, approve it and invite the professional arm to implement it.

"According to my understanding, where in fact the issue being known as padding is necessary is a predicament where some customers go behind and add components of expenditure from what was already arranged, for either stealing the money or doing whatever they feel just like doing with it.

"But, this stealing of finance can't be possible with no dynamic connivance with some participants of the professional arm.

"So far, accusations are being traded amidst members of the homely houses. No investigation has been conducted. On the decision for the resignation of the Presenter, the relevant question is, what gets the Presenter done to warrant his resignation??"

On if it can be an offence to pad the budget, the ex - Presenter said: "Everything is based from what position you consider it, I informed you that the responsibi just?lity of appropriation is one of the national assembly.

"If padding sometimes appears as an offence, then it is when some customers of the nationwide assembly opt to add components of expenditure through the trunk door following the budget has been handed by both residences. It therefore behoves on Nigerians to choose who stand for them in the countrywide assembly."

Black American

There is a word that can stir up emotions quickly now! So many people have such strong views upon this subject which it is actually hard for a lot of individuals to discuss it with an open mind. My goal is to help find their way you through this somewhat controversial subject and uncover a few of the truths that you may well not be aware of. It doesn't matter what race or ethnic background you may be, if you are a closed down minded person you will not agree with a few of the things I'm about to cover.

Growing up I knew racism was bad but I didn't fully understand what racism was. I thought racism was slurs, blatant discrimination and hating someone based on their skin color. But I now know that it is a seeping system of invisible causes that effectively keep people of color in a long lasting 2nd class status. It is the foundational fabric of our modern culture woven with principles, behaviour, stereotypes, policies, laws and economies.Let's have a stroll down the memory lane....

  • Wealth In Between 1993 and 1962
Money and Racism

The American government backed $120 billion dollars of mortgage loan. But they refused to back home loans for black People in the usa or even if dark-colored folks lived near by.

1. This practice called redlining essentially required black Americans into poor metropolitan centers( the beginnings of the ghetto).

2. Segregated America to this day.

3. Managed to get impossible to invest in the continuing future of black neighborhoods.

4. Made it impossible for black Americans to start inheriting property and wealth the same way white Americans did.

  • Education
Racism in Education

Property taxes fund schools, this means families that live in nice residences( maybe ones got by making use of authorities) get a better education. It means more opportunities, more resources, more relationships, more jobs, and more$$$$!!!! Having less educational opportunities intended that many black folks were pressured into low-wage manual labor.

  • Job Applications
Job Application In USA

Today, when looking at the same exact job application, businesses are 50% more likely to call back again a prospect with a white sounding name rather them someone with a ghetto name.

  • Mass Incarceration!!! Racial Profiling Is Racism
Mass Incarceration!!! Racial Profiling Is Racism

More DARK-COLORED adults are actually incarcerated than were enslaved in 1850 a decade before the civil war commenced!!! Black colored men are actually imprisoned 6 times the speed of white men. The communities of colors are policed more harshly. They are doubly more likely to get pulled over. There have been several incidents of unarmed black males getting shot by the white cop.

human robot
The advancement in science and technology has exploded in the 21st century. The invention and development of computers, smart phones, tablets, ipads, electronic games, the internet, have made life convenient. Communication, transaction and interaction become easier; tasks are performed with little effort. This breakthrough in science and technology has led to more new inventions one of such is the design of "Humanoids".

Humanoids is a robot with its body shape built to resemble that of a human body. Humanoid Robotics include a rich diversity of projects where perception, processing and actions are embodied in a recognizably anthropomorphic form in order to emulate some subset of the physical cognitive and social dimension of the human body and experience.
Science fiction films such as Terminator, AI, Cyborg  among others, inspired the need to design a human-like machine capable of performing human tasks. In general humanoid robots have a torso, a head, two arms, two legs, eyes and mouth. In our society today especially in the manufacturing industries humanoids are employed to work in high risk areas. Some humanoids are designed for entertainment. For instance URSULA a female robot sings, plays music, dances and speaks to her audience at Universal Studios. Several Disney attractions employ the use of animations robots that look more and speak much like human beings. Examples of some Humanoids employed in our society today are;

TOPIO: A humanoid robot that plays ping pong in Tokyo.
NAO: A soccer playing humanoid.
ENON: A personal assistant humanoid. It can carry things and speaks.
GERMINOID: A female humanoid capable of conversing, laughing and singing (Hong Kong)

In my opinion, humanoids are not adequate replacement for human beings in societal services, they are not and never will be. The design of humanoid is not an attempt to recreate humans. The goal is not nor should it ever be to make machines that can be mistaken for or used interchangeably with real human beings. Rather the goal is to create a new kind of tool fundamentally different from any we have ever seen because it is designed to work with humans as well as for them.

The design of a perfect humanoid is still far from reach as it is difficult almost impossible to replicate humans. The usefulness of humanoids cannot be denied however they are not replacement for human beings.

It has popularly circulated that there are no bad followers but bad leaders and I vehemently agree to that. The problem of Nigeria as I have argued is not recent neither is it a 21st century problem but started right from the onset of our independence and initiated by our so called colonial masters, down to our founding fathers and to our present day leaders. Moreover, the “rain that beat Africa(Nigeria) began four to five hundred years ago, from the discovery of Africa by Europe, through to the transatlantic slave trade, to the Berlin conference of 1885”.

When the colonial masters arrived Nigeria and other west African states, such as Ghana, Sierra Leone etc, as an offer  at the controversial gathering of world leaders at Berlin. Germany. These expatriates did not encounter an un-organized nor confused people but rather people with great cultural heritage, well arranged and structured local government. People who are very humble, docile an obedient to their local rulers, and even aided the missionaries who brought the gospel of peace and freedom

The white with their so called supremacy and wealth of experience in governance and politics sought to colonize the people of lesser worth and to enrich themselves in all sense, brought about merging of a people with diverse heritage and languages in what the called “the amalgamation of the southern and northern protectorate”

The reason for amalgamation will at the cause of the years reveal the selfish ambition of our colonizers, thus they systematically induced the problem that would plunge the nation into “a cesspool of corruption and misrule,” the cessation of social justice and rights of the citizenry. They further introduced indirect rule a system of leadership, which involves a few individual and in this case, the colonial masters. This system of governance did our nation more harm than good, causing the people to watch from a distance while their dictators rule them to penury. This, they left indebly on the minds of those they will be handing on to, come 1st October, 1960

But, to better elucidate the degree of leadership degradation in our country, the political corrupt practices, the crippling development of almost every sector of the nations economy and the nefarious propaganda of the deadly sect-Boko Haram, I draw out this piece of information by Professor Chinua Achebe, the late prolific Nigerian writer and the recipient of the Nigeria national merit award, Nigeria’s highest award for intellectual achievement in his last book: there was a country: a personal history of Biafra. He writes on the root cause of the primary Nigeria problem-Leadership.

The British governed their colony of Nigeria with considerable care. There was a very highly competent of government officials imbued with a high level of knowledge of how  to run a country... they had the experience of governing and doing it competently...  There was district order during their time but there was unresolved religious and political bigotry among those they governed. The British were well aware of the inter ethnic tensions and posturing for power among the three main ethnic groups by 1951.

Initially the British resisted any agitation for independence often by handing out stiff jail term for "sedition" so the disturbers of peace. They knew the value of their colonies and the natural sources they possessed in Nigeria's case oil, coal, gold, tin, columbite, coca,  palm oil,  groundnuts and rubber as well as intellectual capital. Surely, great Britain has no plans to hand all these riches over without a fight.

Thus, before the left Nigeria on independence day, the left us to carry their crafty governing skill and that became the foundation of our problems. Thus, the first election in Nigeria supervised by the governor-general Sir James Robertson, a British, elected "a courageous English junior civil servant, named Herold Smith to oversee the rigging of Nigeria's first election, so  that its complaint friends in (Northern Nigeria) would win power, dominate the country and serve British Interest after independence... and one night echo that popular faith in genuine democracy was compromised form its birth."

Having successfully done this but not aided by Herold Smith who was knowledgeable of such moves on a baby country-Nigeria and the intending social malaise in Nigeria's politics. The rigging of election, corruption, manipulation of judges and magistrates, absence of social justice and above all anarchy in the country ensued right from the onset sown by crafty and self-centered right leaders like Sir James Robertson.

Our leaders (that is those they placed there) continued with the same legacy and foolishly refused to let go of these vices or the demonic inheritance but instead transferred it to their children -our present day leaders. Their successor has long polluted the polity of the nation and shattered the daily yearnings of many Nigerians.

Nigerians should wake up to fight for her independence against bad leaders that kept the country in bondage. They citizens must all unite as one if we must set things right in our political system, for maybe "religion may divide us but then nation unites us."

Gadgets rules man
Do you think gadgets are for humans or human for gadgets? We live in an age of information, a world of technology as we call it where almost everything is at the service of technology. It has made a once primitive, crude, complex and complicated life of the human person to take the hue of a much modern, refined, simple and easy one. Nothing seems to elude the grasps of this "modern god" not even the human person who bears the indelible divine print of God. Everything seems to come to light at the creation account as much so, that if you ask a person to explain something to you, he/she will generally reply by saying "Google it". Many are occupied with smart phones, texting, talking or surfing the net; or the case whereby people go on a date with their phones and gadgets of all sort as a lunch companion. People cannot even sit through a meeting without peering at their phones. Little wonder then, is the fact that those who cannot afford such or are not engaged with such gadgets rae considered as one who is of the stone age. This explains why all and sundry not even children are somewhat left out in this technological escapade.

What is more; is that electronic devices have become an extension of us. Almost like another body part. People hook them on to their waist bands; throw in their purses or even place in their bra's. It sets some into a desperate panic mode as they will feel that their whole life has come to a halt when these gadgets are misplaced, stolen or out dated. They wonder how they will get by without it. There is more desperate urgency in locating a lost device than there is when one misplaces the holy biblee, or in looking at ways to end hunger and crises. People will literally camp outside of the electronics stores all day or constantly visiting the various online shopping markets in order to be one of the first to det the lastest and greatest cell phone device. It is almost like a trophy to which they can tout about to their friends or colleagues. It becomes a thing of pride to be the first person using the lastes gadgets like phones. ipads, tvs, power banks st cetra. On the contrary, it is very rare to hear anyone boast about something meaningful, for example, the last time you heard someone excited to share that they are making a difference in their community, or that they are content with what they have

Unfortunately, the availability of these technological innovations has made verbal communiication with families, friends and loved ones obsolete. Individual can easily and effortlessly send a  one line text to a friends or loved one and it will be enough to say that he/she has checked in with that person. Then they are off the hook, so to speak, to continue on with their daily technological living. This degenerated into a situation whereby people walk on the streets with the full attention engrossed on their gadgets that they fail to notice others around them. Those who have the courage to say 'hello' they are met with a shocked looking face. Often the receiving person will not even reciprocate the 'hello' as they fear it may initiate some sort of unwanted discussion. Generally they will hold their head down (avoiding eye contact at all costs) and keep on walking absent-mindedly. These attitudes and many others raise questions such as: what has happend to the "good old days" when people actually looked into each other's eyes when they spoke? Those times when one knew all his or her neighbors? When physical presence meant a lot to one another? Not today certainly, when most people do not even speak to themselves let alone their neighbors who at best a simole hand wave is enough to be deemed as being adequately friendly to your neighbor.

Science and technology keep on exploring and inventing to the extent that we are now talking  about "transhumanism". We are not far off from being this, are we?  Many today gladly attach bluetooth devices to our ears; gladly wear glasses that allow us to better surf the net; some even implant microchips under their skin without even a second thought. Such people are not bothered by questions such as: what is it that makes us human?  Where has our humanity gone?  How far are we willing to go, before we reach the point of no return? The human species is gradually losing it's identity to technology in a world that is swiftly becoming a "global palour". Human beings are gradually becoming slaves and servants to technology instead of the other way round. Technology is gradually dictating for human beings and controlling them instead of the reverse being the case. The sense of togetherness, love, comfort, unity, sharing that are supposed to be existent in the human society is giving way to the divine being created by the technology. It is therefore, pertinent to go back to the drawing board and realize that we are humans
We must realize that smiling at strangers, leaving our cell phones in silent mode or putting them in the pocket or handbags when meeting with friends for lunch gives room for attention and proper communication. Being with family members and friends to discuss and interact devoid of any intruder device giving room to the desired listing ear, warm and comfort.

If we keep on this technological path at this rapid pace, humans as we know, will become anything short of humans; nothing more than walking computers and machines. The more we serve technology in our lives the more we further alienate ourselves from our authentic selves and from others. And this leaves us in the illusion that we are developing and going sophisticated at the expense of our humanity. Thus, this is a call to retrace our steps. It is a call to that self-awareness of who we truly are. We are to be masters not servants to technology because technology was made for man and not man for technology.
